Clove Pink – Mystery Bonus Box!

Because I purchased a 12-month/6-box plan, I was gifted a mystery box with over $50 value inside. This shipped along with my summer box and arrived within 9 days of ordering. This was pretty quick, unlike my Sweet Reads boxes, which I’ve so far been waiting 4 weeks for.

Inside the box I received a very sweet thank you card written and signed by Tammy, the company’s founder. I’ll always appreciate handwritten notes.

Inside the Clove Pink Mystery Box

All Things Jill – Room Mist “Balance”

This room mist doesn’t have an overpowering smell, and just kind of freshens up the place. Retailing at $15, it contains lavender, geranium, patchouli, lemon and lime oils. It is a very refreshing scent. Though they are based in Calgary, they do not have a storefront so you will have to either buy online or find a stockist near you.

Pure Anada – Body Lotion

Pure Anada is a company from Manitoba that offers beauty products “handcrafted in the Canadian Prairies from fresh, wholesome ingredients”. I really like the scent of this lotion, but I didn’t realize that it was a glittery bronzing lotion. I also didn’t realize that the bottle is a shimmering brown because of the inner contents, I just thought it was an odd colour. I can’t imagine the bronzing aspect being very useful for anyone who’s not extremely pale, though they might enjoy the shimmer. I’m curious what the glitter is actually made of and how eco-friendly it is, but I can’t find any information about that in particular.

This bottle retails at $12.

Province Apothecary – Calm Down

This calming roll on is sold out! I guess I was lucky to have gotten one in the box. It really is a lovely fragrance and does invite a sense of calm. One of my pups went in for surgery to remove a cancerous tumour today, so I’m happy to have this.

**Update** Surgery went well and she is now in recovery.

Weekday Candles – “Basecamp”

What a fun little jar and a sweet scent that smells absolutely nothing like a basecamp. This particular jar whose design is from Little May Papery is now sold out, but you can find their new design available in their online shop for $30.

One thing I don’t like is how businesses tout that their containers are a great reusable item. I would much prefer to give them to a local candle company so that they can reuse them for their original purpose. I don’t have a use for so many jars as I have candles, so I’ve been using them as pots for plants. I tried to sell them without success. This one does have a screw lid, however, so maybe I’ll end up putting bulk spices in it.

Overall Impression

Overall I am very pleased with the mystery box, and if you enjoy this type of product I recommend getting one. Or why not subscribe to Clove Pink for a year and get this (or a similar) box for free ;).
No, I’m not sponsored by this or any other company.
