Pobi Baby Crib Sheets Review

Pobi Baby Fitted Crib Sheets

I thought, as I have done in many foolish moments as a new parent, that finding good quality, nice-looking Canadian crib sheets would be easy. It was not. Happily, I eventually came across Pobi Baby on Amazon; they happened to be beautiful, and the company is Canadian!

I was looking for crib sheets after ordering my Obasan crib mattress. I usually try to stay away from Amazon, but I found myself scouring their marketplace when I came across the attractive designs of Pobi Baby. I happened to do a quick search on the company, and found that they are based in Nova Scotia. There are other companies that offer the same or similar patterns, for the same or similar price, but I was happy to purchase from a company that is based in Canada.

Overall Impression

My sheets came in a pack of 2, which is much more cost effective than buying a single sheet. It is also beneficial to have one ready to go while the other is in the wash. It’s been 6 months of use at the time of writing and they are still in perfect shape. The pockets are really deep, which was important for me since the Obasan crib mattresses are quite thick, especially with the wool cover on top. There has been no pilling, stretching, or wrinkling of the fabric so far.

I don’t understand how things like crib sheets can’t be manufactured in Canada. My sewing skills are very basic, but how difficult can these be to make? Cut fabric, sew in elastic, done. Someone explain to me why we can’t make that work here for small sheets that cost $20-$30 each?
