Bird&Be is similar to Ovry in providing pee strip pregnancy tests. They specialize in prenatal supplements, but they also have other pregnancy-related items.

First positive day Bird&Be vs Ovry

I finally tested pregnant and I’ve kept the expired Bird&Be tests just to experiment with how well they do despite being well past the expiry date. Much to my surprise, they did just as well, if not better, than the Ovry ones.

Overall Impression

When I got them, I was not impressed at how soon the expiry date was. I ordered these at the end of May 2025 and they were set to expire in December 2025. There should have been a discount offered because of the very little shelf life left on them. I had been liberal with my use of them when they became relevant and still had 15 left by the time they expired. However, in May 2026, the expiry date proved to be not very accurate, as they showed the pregnancy just as well as the new Ovry tests.

When I purchased these Bird&Be tests, I was under the impression that they, like Ovry, made their tests in Canada. Sadly, Bird&Be does not manufacture in Canada, but rather in China, which would explain the slight cost difference between the two. If I were to choose between them, which I did end up doing, I would support Canadian manufacturing and order from Ovry again.

The Goods:

  • Canadian Company
  • Plastic-free
  • Comes with a testing card
  • Quick shipping

The Not-So-Goods:

  • Made in China
  • Short shelf life
  • Doesn’t come with a cup to pee in

Good for People Who:

Are already ordering from Bird&Be and want to support a Canadian company.

If you want the same, plastic-free style, but made in Canada, go for Ovry. If you want cheaper, there are other options on Amazon.
