Inside the Box

The Bathologist – Bath Bomb

This bath bomb smells quite nice, and is the size and shape of the box. My only complaint is that it leaked everywhere. Either the plastic left a gap while shrink wrapping or it broke afterward. In any case, it was all in the box, and I have to be very careful handling it or it goes everywhere.

The Bathologist is a Canadian company that hand mixes their products in Ottawa. You can purchase this online for $6.99.

Peace by Chocolate Chocolate

The Hadhad family escaped Syria to Nova Scotia and brought their chocolate-making tradition with them. You can read their story here.

This “holiday stacker” has a variety of flavours and is on sale for $4.24. It is not safe for people with nut allergies as there are almonds mixed in certain chocolates. These are quite tasty and I would recommend trying them.

Pure Anada Hydrating Cream

This is a dressed-up version of their regular peppermint hand cream, which you can purchase for $10. This is quite a thick cream that soaks up nicely into my hands. It’s perfectly in time for the dry, winter air.

Three Ships Lavender & MCT Cleansing Oil

This cleansing oil is made from MCT (a processed coconut oil), lavender essential oil, and geranium essential oil. That’s it! It smells very good and I can’t wait to start using it. This will set you back $19 online.

Simmer & Co Simmer Melt & Melter

This smells so good! I’ve been burning this since I started writing this morning and it’s making the whole house smell lovely. This is especially great because the house was smelling like someone’s (not mine) burnt breakfast (not Tony’s either). I’m so glad that the wax melter was included because I got rid of mine a couple years ago. This one is pretty cute and not too big, so that’s a plus.

I missed it originally, but there was also a tealight included to get me burning right away. I think it was wrapped in the tissue because when I moved the tissue after photos I saw the candle. It looks like a regular paraffin candle, so that’s not the best, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen soy tealights and beeswax is very expensive.

I don’t know where the wax melter is from, or what it costs.

A close up of the wax melt. This little pot will cost you $10.

Three Ships Eye Masks

Now these are samples, which are a lovely little bonus to this box, but you can get a container of 30 sets for $37. Each of these packets contains one set, which is great! I get to keep one, and I know exactly who to give the second set to! I love being able to gift things to people that will enjoy them.

Overall Impression

This month’s box has more than a $51 value. I can’t properly calculate it because I don’t know the cost of the wax melter or candle, but I am more than happy with it since I like everything that came in the box. Although value for money is an important aspect of subscription boxes, I think getting products you actually like and will use is even more valuable. I also appreciate that Clove Pink keeps including samples that keep that aren’t included in the box value. I’m looking at you Catoro :|. Overall, I am once again satisfied with this month’s box.
