What made me subscribe to 3 dog subscription boxes? Ahhh! At least the dogs will be happy.
Woof Crate, along with Fetch. Co, claims to be Canada’s premium subscription for dogs. Actually, technically Woof Crate’s tagline is the most premium subscription for dogs, though they don’t say what makes them different from other subscription boxes.

Inside the Box
For my first box I decided to “Double the Trouble” and double the toys and treats inside the box for an extra $25. Here’s what we got:
We brought the box of toys to our trip to Ucluelet this past week, and this was probably the #1 toy for the dogs. It crinkles, it (still) squeaks, and the dogs love it. They haven’t torn it apart yet, but some of the embroidery is coming out. It’s a decent size for larger dogs, and mine tend to love toys that are green.
The variety of textures on this toy is a plus for the pups. It’s on the smaller side, but very cute. None of the toys have been torn apart yet, so that’s a good sign. Though to be honest, none of the dogs have tried. They just get into a mood suddenly and goodbye toy! This toy is slightly crinkly and the squeaker is now broken.

This Santa toy is very soft and fairly small for my large dogs. Maila sometimes carries it around, but I know once she gets her teeth into it, it’s a goner. This toy had a squeaker, but it no longer squeaks. The Santa is from fouFit’s plush holiday line.

This was the cutest, so I was a bit reluctant to pass this one on to the dogs. It’s pretty small, but its squeaker is still intact due to lack of use. There’s barely even any slobber on it. This reindeer is also from fouFit’s plush holiday line.
All my dogs’ eyes lit up when I opened this bag. They were very pleased to eat these.
The back of the bag says “loads of chewing satisfaction”, but that must be for small dogs. Mine chomped them down in basically one bite. These sausages are made of chicken, garlic, parsley, ground oats and beets inside a collagen casing. They are made in Ontario!

Honestly, these smell good enough for me to eat. Unfortunately sugar is the second ingredient. I try to not feed my dogs sugar as it is not good for them and I basically control their diet. I need someone to control mine. Haha! There are a lot of ingredients in this one, and though they enjoyed it, I don’t think I would go out of my way to buy this. Bosco and Roxy’s is also a company from Ontario.

I love puns, and the name for this is great. All that’s in these gingerbread men is oats, banana, molasses, natural peanut butter (because some are sweetened (gross!) and some with xylitol, which is dangerous for canines), coconut oil, ginger, and cinnamon! These fun treats are made in Nova Scotia.
It stinks, which means it’s extra loved by the dogs. This is a single-ingredient treat that is not intended for dogs under 10lbs. Buddy Jack’s is from Surrey, BC!
Woof Crate adds an accessory to every box, and this month it is a Christmas bandana. I made sure to dress up Coco in it when we checked into the hotel, but the host was more enamored with her beautifully “coiffed” hair. Coco has very long, fluffy hair, especially now that it’s winter, so it’s easy to see why.
There was also a chew in the box, but I split it amongst the dogs right away.
Overall Impression
Overall I think this is a good box. I used to be the type of person to poo-poo an accessory on a dog, but now I’m all for it. Tony’s made me a much more decorative person, believe it or not, so I like the addition of the accessory. This is a little more expensive than Woof Pack, probably because shipping is included, but they offer the same things: 2 toys, 2 treats, and a chew. Woof Pack puts its value at around $50, whereas Woof Crates say it’s around $65+.
One thing I’m not happy about with this month is that I paid $10 for an extra toy, but didn’t get it. I have e-mailed Ryan, so we’ll see what he says about that. *
*On December 18, I got a refund notification for $10.
*On December 19, Ryan e-mailed and apologized. He was very nice about it. I think good customer service really goes a long way. Mistakes do happen, but a good attitude about it makes all the difference.
