Despite having finished Inner Witch: A Modern Guide to the Ancient Craft, I still feel quite overwhelmed with everything. I think the book was too fluffy and didn’t take itself very seriously, (sorry, but clothing and makeup “rituals” are just not for me). I prefer, or at least preferred at one point in time, a book like Paganism: An Introduction to Earth-Centered Religions, which not only explains what people do, but why, and the history of it. Now it was 13 years ago that I used that book for a paper I wrote for university, but I remember it being much less “anything goes”. Maybe that’s just what witchcraft, or at least modern witchcraft, is about. But to me, that stance is too much like reading a fantasy book with no consistent rules: it’s annoying. I guess if I ever get around to signing up for Spiral Rain’s WitchClass Box, I’ll be much more informed.

Inside the Box
I just have to say that these boxes always smell amazing.
This month’s magazine has an introduction to and photo of Rani and her kitty Salem.
It looks like there is some new formatting going on that, to me, looks cleaner and more organized. I embrace this change! There is also a small section on two different tarot spreads, and a short story about a woman and crystals.
The cover art is done by Rani’s daughter Asha!
The exciting contents of the Ohm box. I forgot to add the 7 chakras tea in the photo, but that was also included in this box.

I’m a little sad that this book is only focusing on women, but it might make more sense once I have it read.
I love the description in the Ohm Box contents page, but I flipped through the book a bit and I don’t think I’m going to like it. Hopefully I do!
I opened this bag to evaluate the scent and of course Coco thought it was a bag of dog treats. I let her sniff the contents but she was very offended by the smell. I laughed out loud. I am not offended by the smell and look forward to using them in a bath.
These bath salts were designed with all seven chakras in mind, to aid in balancing and healing them.
There is no information about the clear quartz, but it was included in the title of the bath salts, so maybe it was supposed to be in the bag of bath salts?
According to MindBodyGreen, the clear quartz helps to balance the crown chakra (among other things).
If you follow me basically anywhere you probably know about the stupid amount of tea that we currently have. We are both heavy tea drinkers, but apparently we don’t drink anywhere near enough to stop the huge mound of it. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but the lack of space is an issue.
“A tempest in a teapot, an elixir of love to align your chakras…”
That sounds amazing. It is designed to support the body’s chakras. It also supports immunity, digestive health, and the nervous system. Can’t wait to try it! I’m a bit sad this isn’t a permanent offering, because if it’s as amazing as it sounds, it should be available all the time.
These were made by Rani’s dad! How cool is that? Each has unique design (is this my favourite word this blog today?) that corresponds with each chakra’s symbol. They’re great, and have fuzzy bottoms, which I imagine will doubly protect that surfaces that they lay on.
I think this is a very cool idea. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a candle in a mug before. And of course, as is the norm for Spiral Rain, the candle itself is beautifully presented. We do have a lot of mugs though. I really need to tear the house upside down and get rid of things. Or… move into a bigger house? Maybe one day :D.
This month’s witch box, focusing on water magick.
Here we have some dried jasmine flowers to use with one’s own ritual or spell. The flowers are associated with air and water and have been used in spells relating to love, fertility, and sensuality. It is said that the scent has a calming and soothing effect and is used to promote relaxation and sleep. I have never been a fan of the scent, despite it being my namesake. I do have a small jasmine bush in my room, and when it blooms, before I notice that it has bloomed, I often wonder what stinks. To each their own!
These are some bath salts with a water theme, containing some more lighter scents like grapefruit, camomile, and lotus.
This is a “water flowers” candle with an amethyst as well as some chamomile flowers. It’s a very strong, light scent, if that makes sense.
I remember reading about chime candles in the Inner Witch book, and now I have my own, including a little holder! Cool. I wish they were beeswax, but that would be too much to ask for as beeswax is very expensive.
I’ve always loved dolphins, and this one is from Peru, carved from dolomite stone. It can join my clay dolphin flute from Guatemala.
This is a very sweet-smelling perfume, heavy on the grapefruit and vanilla essential oils. I think this is supposed to be the same mix as the bath salts. The bottle also says it contains an amethyst, but apparently there was a mistake and there is a rose quartz in it instead. This is not a problem for me. This oil can be used before a ritual or as a daily scent.
This is a lovely little 2oz jar of a water incense blend. It is designed to connect with the element of water. There is also a rose quartz sitting on the top. I need directions on how to use this.
This month’s BOS pages have a focus on jasmine, water, elemental correspondences, and a lunar calendar as well as the phases and their meanings.
Overall Impression
Not surprising that I am still enjoying this box, and Tony really likes it too. Most of the products are not available in their store, whether online or brick and mortar, so if you think you would enjoy the items in the boxes you need purchase a subscription box. I would suggest going for a full subscription as most of the boxes sell out before they are sent out!
