I purchased this paw cleaner at the Lunar New Year Market hosted by the UBC Botanical Garden this year.
I brought Canek in tonight and tried this on his paws. Today was a fairly dry day, but living in the lower mainland of BC means winter is never really dry. I used a generous amount of foam on each paw as he is a larger dog, but it did not get them clean. As instructed, I used an absorbent towel to wipe them afterwards. The towel was unable to fully absorb the foam so I ended up taking him to the shower and rinsing his paws with water.

Overall Impression
This product seems to be for small dogs who live in the city. It was completely ineffective in cleaning my 60lb border collie’s paws with a moderate amount of dirt on them. We live out in the “country” and their paws see a lot more than pavement or a nicely manicured lawn. I think in order to get them clean, I would have had to have rinses the brush off multiple times for each paw, so in that case, why not just rinse the paw?
It was too funny listening to Canek walk around the house before I washed the foam off. I tried to get the foam out as much as I could without rinsing, which is supposed to be part of the appeal, but I could hear the foam squish as he walked. “Our Paw Cleansing Foam is the best way to wash dirty paws…” this is definitely not the case. As soon as I saw him going to lick his paws, into the shower he went. I don’t care if it’s lick safe, I didn’t want to chance him having a poor reaction.
