Inside the Box

Here we have a Valentine’s tea that contains black teas, cacao nibs, hibiscus flowers, chocolate flavour, raspberry pieces, and natural pomegranate flavour.
I love all these things, but not sure when they’re all together.
Simpson & Vail is a company from New York that was founded in 1904.

I tried this tea before writing the blog, and I must say I am a fan. It’s pretty smooth with a touch of sweetness. This tea contains red rooibos, honeybush, roasted chicory, carob, cacao nibs, apple pieces, and “natural essence”.

Tony was very excited to try this one, so he made himself a cup. It’s pretty nice tasting with a strong watermelon flavour.
Higher Living have been blending teas for over 20 years and are based in rural Sussex, UK.

This is a very interesting-sounding tea that I have yet to try. The ingredients are: hawthorn, cedar, Labrador tea, lavender, and peppermint. I had never heard of Labrador tea before. The inclusion of cedar is interesting as it can have unpleasant effects on the digestive system as it has fairly strong antimicrobial properties. I do have a cedar honey, tincture, and salve, but I was instructed to be cautious when ingesting it.
Do you incorporate cedar in your diet or remedies?
Pilki is a Canadian company based in Montreal.
These were delicious and I’m ashamed to say I didn’t share with Tony.
This is a beautiful little spoon for stirring tea and adding in tiny bits of sugar. I think it will well accompany my golden star spoon.
Overall Impression
I never know what’s going to arrive in T-Surprise’s boxes, and I do love that. I like themed things, so enjoyed that they included a Valentine’s tea. I’m very interested to try the boreal infusion tea that has the hawthorn and lavender. The spoon is cute, and I think will get some use eventually. Overall a decent box with a nice variety of teas, and delicious treats.
