Woof Crate – April 2023

This month is supposed to be luau themed, but I’m not sure how. We also got a giant watermelon that was not part of the list, but we are very happy with it. I’m pretty sure it’s the biggest toy the dogs have ever had.

This month’s card says that every order helps support shelter dogs, so that’s wonderful, too!

Inside the Box

**As always, the chews were given to the dogs immediately upon opening and were thus promptly consumed and no photos were taken.**

This month’s chews were beef esophaguses. They were very stinky and the dogs loved them.

Easter Bandana

Too cute. It’s wrinkly because Coco had been wearing it for days.

Salty Dogs is back again with these single-ingredient treats. Just straight up capelin, which I had never heard of before, but are apparently a tasty treat for humans too. A quick search tells me the roe is used for sushi. Fascinating.

The dogs love these treats, and it’s great that they come in a smaller bag with the same amount of treats. The ingredients are: banana puree, barley flour, coconut shavings, and coconut oil. Nice.

So it looks like Lifestyle Dog Treats is now Luvcraft Treats, but it also looks like they’re both owned by Mes Biscuits Maison. On a side note, did you know that these are being sold for $10.00 in the Woof Shop (by Woof Box, not Woof Crate). That’s a crazy markup! Woof Crate doesn’t have its own shop, so to access their products, you have to either subscribe, or purchase directly from their suppliers.

Fuzzyard Winky Watermelon – $8.99 USD

This is not on the list of possible toys, but we are delighted with it. I also like that we got two watermelon toys. Matching! Coco’s run off with it now.

This treat toy is made of 100% natural rubber and unlike most toys, is made in Colombia. Much closer to the source of rubber I would imagine. I stuffed this toy with treats and gave it to Canek to distract him from the diabetic dog and smoking man that take their walk around this time, Canek despises this duo with a passion. He’s a border collie, so hopefully it keeps him occupied for a while.

Ok, I gave Canek this toy about an hour ago. I refilled it with treats partway through and he’s still working at it. I’m happy to say this one is a big success!

Coco with April’s Woof Crate: “Mine! All mine!”

Greedy girl.

Overall Impression

I think it’s funny that we had a luau theme with nothing that was actually luau themed. Regardless, I love the info card, which is always a lot of fun and had some interesting tidbits on it as well as the packing list. There’s nothing I dislike and everything has been a hit with the floofers.
