I picked up a few bags of these at The Mango Market late last year. The flavours I picked up were:

  • Chocolate Hazelnut

I also tried a few other flavours that I didn’t purchase, which have now escaped my memory.

Overall Impression

I don’t like really like regular marshmallows, but I have enjoyed artisan ones. I got a bag from Into Chocolate a couple winters ago and absolutely adored them. When I saw the Modern Mallows at The Mango Market, I knew I had to try them. Unfortunately I didn’t like any of them. I bought 4 bags anyway as I felt bad trying all of them and not liking any of them (the ones I bought I hadn’t yet tried). I thought maybe I would change my mind later, but never did. I had one unopened package left today (Bailey’s Irish Cream), as the rest I had opened, tried, and not eaten. Bailey’s Irish Cream was probably the best flavour, but at this point the plastic packaging has leeched its flavour into the marshmallows making them inedible.

If you generally enjoy marshmallows I recommend having a go at them as there are lots of interesting flavours. If you are sensitive to artificial flavours and/or generally don’t like marshmallows, I would recommend skipping these.
