This one was a shocker. I usually get the current month’s box 7-15 days into the month. I have a spreadsheet, so I know exactly when the previou ones came. The June box, however, arrived on May 30! They completely bucked the trend on this one, and I can’t help but wonder why. Vacation? Preparedness? My suspicion is that Loti is on its way out.

Inside the Box

Amazing. Really getting our money’s worth with this one. These are from Target, which abandoned the Canadian market years ago. This was made in Mexico and the copyright for this says 2016; take from that what you will. As far as loofahs go, it’s a fine loofah. It feels pretty dense, but if you’re putting a loofah into a subscription box, you’d think they’d at least have some soap or body wash to go with it. I also prefer natural products, and this is not at all natural or even recycled plastic. Come on Loti, you can do better than a cheap sponge from Target.

I hope there isn’t a time limit on this coupon. I’d like to do this in the fall when I hopefully have some time/motivation to do more exercising indoors.

I can’t say if this came from Shein or not, but I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s still wrapped in its made in China wrapping. This is the second one I’ve gotten from Loti. The first was from February 2023 box. I don’t know how many scalp massagers I could possibly need. The rampant amount of duplicates in my boxes is another one of the reasons I think Loti is getting ready to close their doors. Or maybe they just don’t like me.
I have no idea what company these are from. I forgot about the wooden incense holder that it came with, but it’s basically a tiny version of the wood you see in the photo. The scent is light, and fairly pleasant.
*Note* If you have a business, please put your branding on your products. It can be subtle, but if you are selling to subscription boxes, you should have a way for subscribers to find you.
Although Loti isn’t selling their extras on their site, they are available here for $7.77. I’m assuming that’s USD, but I can’t easily find that information.
This is another duplicate, originally received in my August 2022 box. It was fine when I used it, but not mind-blowing. There’s a lot of steps. I prefer simplicity.
Vitamasques is a British company that manufactures their masks in Korea.

This is not my first time with Simmer & Co, but my first time receiving it in a Loti box. I first received an item from them in Clove Pink’s November 2022 box as a melt, which was really lovely, then I got a stovetop mix from The Simmer Shop in my Acre 75 Winter 2022 box. I have not used that stovetop mix yet. Honestly, it seems like such a waste of energy, unless you have a wood stove and are already using that to heat your home.
I opened this to smell it, and I don’t really like the scent. It contains orange, grapefruit, lime, earl grey tea, and hibiscus.

A lip balm, with really not that much lip balm in it, that can attach to a Popsocket. I do not have a Popsocket, but the lip balm is all right. It seems to have decent ingredients and tastes pretty good. The mirror isn’t great, but good enough for checking for stray beard hairs. If you don’t have a Popsocket, then you can use the adapter. It’s a bit gimmicky and not worth $10USD in my mind.

I feel like this is another company that has unofficially shut down. Their website is no longer functional and they haven’t posted on Instagram for over a year. Starting a company is such a risk, and it doesn’t always pan out, even if you have good product.
Azala is/was from Burbank, California whose products focus on being “anti-stress”.
I forgot to include this in the box picture. I have a backlog of work to do and only noticed it after I flattened the box and put it in the recycling. I guess it had fallen out of the box. Oops. Anyway, this was also a duplicate from January 2023.
Overall Impression
This was a disappointing box. I don’t like getting duplicate items, and throwing in some cheap items just doesn’t cut it. I like the packaging of the incense and the body balm seems okay. It’s a bit greasy and smelly, but it’s touted as a healing cream and not a basic lotion. I’m just so done with Loti. I wish that this had been the last box. Lesson learned: try a box first, and don’t get tempted by the deals. One more to go!
Here is why I think Loti is shutting down:
- Constant duplicate products this year
- Zero effort in theming
- Decrease in value of products – I’m not sure I even got what I spent this month
- No longer posting box reveals or content lists
- Missing items from boxes
- Slow or non-existent customer service
- No longer posting on Instagram – 5 weeks since the time of writing
Let me know what you think. I got caught in The Extraordinary Man going defunct, and now it looks like Simply Beautiful went down as well. They were the same company, but I didn’t expect the women’s division to disappear as well. Clove Pink also shut down indefinitely not long into my subscription. It’s a tough world out there.
