Sockbox – June 2023

So we still haven’t gotten our socks from May yet. We got the new underwear, which was great, but the socks sadly never arrived. I e-mailed Marshall, and it took 4 days to get a response. He tried to clarify that they were to come separately, so I had to e-mail back and reiterate that they didn’t come at all. On June 8th he finally understood, but the June shipment had already gone out, so the May socks will arrive sometime later in June.

Sadly, June was also supposed to be a month of bonus socks (my purchase of a 12-month gift included 50% bonus socks), which we didn’t get.

Inside the “Box”

It always makes me a bit sad when we get socks from companies that no longer exist. GOTN’s website is defunct and they haven’t posted on Instagram in almost 3 years. I wonder if they were a covid casualty. Anyway, it’s great that Sockbox can pick up stock of old socks, or at least I’m assuming that’s what they do.

These socks are made in China of 80% cotton, 15% polyester, 3% spandex, and 2% nylon. They’re not very soft. GOTN was a company that started in 2015.

Unlike the socks, the underwear is still a functioning business. They first arrived on the scene in August of 2019 under the name OKE Apparel.

I would like to know where they got their name, but it’s not in the “About” section, and the FAQ is just a picture of a handsome man in a bedroom.

I just have more questions now.
