My first WitchClass box! How exciting. Now because I’m already a subscriber to Spiral Rain, it says:
“For those who are already subscribed monthly, I offer to combine this box with your subscription boxes and it will then ship on the 28th. Meaning for you, the first class would be sent with February’s boxes shipping out on January 30th. Shipping will be adjusted accordingly.”
I sure hope this is the case. I joined much later in the year, so hopefully lesson 2 will ship with my July box and not on its own. I would love to save on shipping as it’s otherwise a lot of money just in shipping.

Inside the Box
This is the actual course. The other items in the box are to supplement each lesson. As you can see, the title of lesson 1 is “Know yourself to know your craft.” The next two items are journals, which I’m assuming will aim to help with knowing myself [better]. I am a fairly self-aware person, but as I am constantly changing, there’s always more to learn.
The lesson also includes definitions of what witchcraft actually is and a brief history, which I find very helpful, because I know basically nothing. I wrote a paper on Wicca in university, but they are not equivalents.
This is a very lovely leather journal from India. The pages are of an interesting quality, stamped kind of like a cheap paper towel. It has five sections bound in with leather. It’s giving me hand-bound vibes, but there is almost no information about it. It has a tree of life on it, which I’m assuming I will eventually learn its meaning outside of the Biblical context.

This journal is full of watercolour paintings and, l am assuming ,prompts. I’m not 100% sure if I’m supposed to write in it as it’s very beautiful. Should I write in the other journal after reading these prompts or just write on these pretty pages? I will soon have to decide.
Overall Impression
I like that I will be learning the basics of witchcraft and what it actually means. I’ve been getting these boxes since August and am mostly oblivious to their meaning and uncertain what to do with the unfamiliar items. Candles, perfume, and bath salts I get, but the rest of it? Even if I decide to not practice witchcraft in the future, I love learning new things, and have always been fascinated by this way of being in and interacting with the world.
