I originally purchased these in November 2022 to ease my mind as I have an irregular cycle.

  • Minimal Packaging
  • Manufactured in Canada
  • Cost Effective
  • A More Eco-friendly Alternative

Manufactured in: British Columbia

Company Base: Revelstoke, BC

Established in: 2020

In May I was panicking. My cycle is normally irregularish but not terribly. I went through a lot of the tests from my original order because I was about 2 weeks late but still testing negative. I sent my boyfriend out to get a fresh box (the one in the featured photo) as I read that heat and moisture can affect accuracy. I had stored them in the back of a bathroom drawer, which gets hot from the vent. The fresh tests were still negative, so I stopped. I did not take pictures of the multitude of negative tests. When it finally came, I had the best and shortest period of my life from the longest cycle of my life. So bizarre. I thought I was going into perimenopause early.

Fast forward a month, and the day before my period was due, I decided to test just for kicks. Negative. My period still didn’t come, but I was still spotting a few days later and found out that spotting can be a sign of early pregnancy. Thinking nothing of it (thank goodness these are relatively cheap!), I tested again sometime late morning of June 27 and voila! I was very surprised.

You can see how the lines got darker as time went on. You may also notice my disbelief in the amount of tests used.

Still having a hard time believing I’m pregnant

Overall Impression

Honestly, what’s not to like about these? With an 18-pack, the price of each test goes down to $2.22 before tax. This is much more reasonable, and when you have a hard time believing you’re pregnant, you can feel less guilty about using so many tests. (Or as in the case of the previous month, having a hard time believing I wasn’t pregnant, and going through a dozen tests.)

Just looking at my local pharmacy, the next cheapest option is $5.85/test on sale, but that includes unnecessary plastic and is still more than the $4.75/test for Ovry’s smallest pack. I like the simplicity, accuracy, and no fuss of Ovry’s test. Also, the packaging is much nicer in my opinion than the name brands.

When my box got shipped to me, I didn’t know what it was. That’s how discreet they are.

The Goods:

  • Manufactured in Canada
  • Local Company
  • Cost Effective
  • Discreet Packaging & Shipping
  • Minimal Packaging
  • More earth-friendly compared to other options

The Not-So-Goods:

  • Peeing into a cup can go poorly, but isn’t really a reflection on the product
  • If you only want one test, the minimum is 4

Overall I would definitely recommend these for use whether you want to see if you’re pregnant, or want to make sure you’re not!
