Sockbox – July 2023

So we didn’t get our bonus socks in June, and they were not sent with the May socks that arrived very, very late. We also didn’t get the bonus socks for June in July. Sockbox must have a terrible way of organizing what exactly they are supposed to be shipping out and when. The fact that they completely forgot to send May socks does not lend a lot of confidence that they’re ever going to send the appropriate amount of bonus socks. It’s disappointing, and I wonder if I don’t say anything how long it will take them to realize it, if they ever do. I had to ask them to send the bonus pair of socks from my original gift subscription near the end of that subscription.

Inside the “Box”

The MRSP on these socks is $18, but I have a hard time believing anyone would pay that much for these socks. You can get better quality socks, with nicer designs, for cheaper. These are hand-linked socks made in Korea, so maybe that has something to do with it?

I like that the washing instructions say to wash with like colours. There really aren’t a lot of yellow garments in this house.

These socks are made in Korea of 70% cotton, 7% polyester, 3% spandex, and 20% nylon. They’re pretty thin and of a medium softness.

Despite being made of 92% modal, these are still not very soft. They’re not the worst, but they feel closer to bathing suit material. Tony hasn’t complained about them at all, so I guess it’s okay?
