Inside the Box

This is my third as far as I know. I gave two to my friend Kirsten who likes to use monk fruit as a sweetner. I’m writing this on August 29, and it expires in September. *sigh*

Sweet Monk was launched in April of 2017 in Guelph.

This is a nice little sample of an all-purpose cleaner. The scent is mildly pleasant.

Back to Earth was founded in 2006 by an Okanagan woman named Kiley. The “Back to Earth team have worked tirelessly to build a reputation as a modern-day apothecary, distributing medicinal, soothing, and healing products you can trust!”

From what I can tell this is a just a sauce powder. I do love curry, so it will be great to try. There’s no rush, either, as this doesn’t expire for more than a year. What an oddity for these boxes.

Cha’s Organics is a Canadian company that was founded in 2006. “Cha’s Organics brings flavour to the table with healing foods sourced on fair terms, in partnership with regenerative organic growers, cultivating empowered and vibrant communities at home and abroad.”

I’m obsessed with cilantro, which I can probably thank my Mexican ex-husband for. I automatically salivate when I smell it. I’m looking forward to trying this.

La Pimenterie was founded in 2016 and “is a Quebec-based company dedicated to creating, promoting, and marketing high-quality, original, and unique spicy products”.

I’m interested to try this. I don’t eat a whole lot of rice, but I have gotten to the point where I can taste the difference between different varieties.

I thought it was cool that it came in a thick paper bag, but inside it’s in a plastic bag. Go figure.

Apparently Thai Ginger is no longer a flavour offered, at least according to their website. You can still get it at good ol’ Save-on-Foods though!

Thai Kitchen is a subsidiary of McCormick, which also has Lawry’s and French’s brands.

This tea sounds so unique and amazing. It doesn’t expire until 2026, so I’ve got plenty of time to delve into the deliciousness.

Teeccino was started in the USA in 1993 due to a dream. I had a dream I was doing my MA in Musical Theatre last night. Is it a sign?

I look at this and I want to eat it. Tony loves nuts, so this should be quite enjoyable for him. It’s very high in calories at 410 per cup. I guess it’s filling and one wouldn’t need to eat so much of it.

Dorset Cereals is unsurprisingly from Dorset (UK), and started back in 1989. They went from bags to boxes in 2006. That is a common number this post.

I got this in the spring Maple box. I still haven’t tried it.

Cannanada is from Newmarket, Ontario and manufactures their products in Canada.

Overall Impression

There are 9 items in this box. With so many high ticket items, the value of the box is almost 3x the amount I paid. It always feels good to get a good deal, but it’s even better when you receive products that are useful or tasty. It’s less good when they expire soon.
