Well, we’ve finally got bonus socks again, but we still haven’t received the August package, which was to include a pair of boxers and two pairs of socks. We also still haven’t received the bonus socks from June.
Sadly, this is the last month of Tony’s underwear subscription. SockBox has an option to renew at $25/pair, but as we’ve encountered a fair amount of issues this year (now including the dreaded duplicate pair of socks), I will not be renewing on behalf of Tony.
This month’s box also included a package of rocket candy, which no one likes. Happy Halloween!

Inside the “Box”
If you’ve been following us for the past year, these socks will look familiar. That is because Tony got them in his October 2022 box. Now Sockbox has a no duplicates guaranteed policy, but we haven’t even gotten our package from August yet. I don’t have the stamina to bring up yet another issue with them. I don’t know if it’s growing pains or what else could be going on, but they really need to up the ante with their customer service.
Gentleman Collective no longer exists, and even their Instagram page is now defunct.
Tony got a similar pair of socks in the June 2023 box. Those ones are pink and without stripes. I don’t think the stripes really do this pair any favours. Luckily Tony isn’t very picky, so they will eventually get worn.
These boxers are adorable and Tony likes this brand overall. Devon & Lang are not his favourite, but they’re pretty high up there. The patterns are great and they’re pretty comfortable. When I asked him what could be improved he said, “absolutely nothing”, and then eventually “They might be my favourite, I don’t know”. So… Worth having a go, even at the high price. They have their own monthly subscription service where you can save 20% off the retail price. That ends up being $27.20/pair. If you subscribe with Sockbox, you can get them for $25/pair, but then you have to deal with Sockbox.
