It’s another Maple magazine filled with more Maple magazine things. A sampling of this season’s topics are: family life on a farm, flavours from the prairies, financial wellness, and gardening.
They must have switched “sweet citrus” to “sweet tangerine” as I cannot find it outside of a bundle, and it does contain tangerine. This caffeinated herbal tea gets its caffeine from yerba mate, black tea, and a caffeine additive. This box brings our tea collection back up to 142 different types of teas in our cupboard.
Yogi is an American company from Oregon that focuses on making teas with beneficial ayurvedic properties.

This dark chocolate contains lion’s mane and astragalus to help with immunity and resistance to stress. You can definitely taste the added ingredients, but it’s not a bad thing. It gives it a bit of an earthy flavour. I’ve definitely eaten worse chocolate. This chocolate is also a bit unique in the fact that they use coconut sugar to make it sweet. I definitely recommend giving Joyà a try if you are looking for a functional chocolate and don’t mind paying a pretty penny for it.

This supplement contains GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), L-Glutamic Acid, and Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate) to aid in relaxation. GABA is a neurotransmitter that slows down your brain and produces a calming effect.

This expires in September of 2025, so we’ve got time to enjoy it. Sadly the expiration date is mostly written in black on the black portion of the bag.
This coffee blend contains 1000mg of an adaptogenic mushroom blend, antioxidant support from the chai spice blend, 105mg of caffeine from instant coffee, and 3g of sugar per cup. It’s interesting that the sugar is already added.
Organic Traditions is a Canadian company from Toronto, Ontario.
Updated May 23, 2024:
Both Tony and I tried this last night and we initially disliked the flavour, even with added sugar. Tony grew accustomed to it somewhat but did not finish his cup. Nor did he want to finish it later on. I did not bother. This product also contains xylitol, which for safety’s sake for my dogs I prefer not to have around.

This is our second curry from Cha’s Organics. The first was the yellow curry in the July 2023 Balanced Pantry Box and it tasted pretty good. It was pretty simple to make, but it’s basically just the herbs for the sauce. You need to provide the coconut milk to make the sauce, as well as rice, vegetables, and protein to serve it with.
Cha’s Organics is a Canadian company that was founded in 2006. “Cha’s Organics brings flavour to the table with healing foods sourced on fair terms, in partnership with regenerative organic growers, cultivating empowered and vibrant communities at home and abroad.”
Sometimes it’s impressive how expensive one little container can be. This is only 30ml, but costs $114. It does promise to plump up and hydrate your skin among other things. The smell isn’t great, but I suppose that’s not too important.
“Wake up to rejuvenated-looking skin with DREAMER serum – supercharged with precious and potent plant botanicals like Baobab, Kalahari, Evening Primrose, Black Cumin, and Willow Bark to refine skin tone and texture. From the first application, it offers a protective veil on the skin, immediate softness, and promotes repair of the skin’s moisture barrier. Particularly effective as nighttime skincare. The result is skin that is comforted, replenished with an even-toned complexion.”

I absolutely love beeswax candles, so this might be my favourite item in this box. This one is made in Canada from 100% beeswax.

Honey Candles is located in Kaslo, British Columbia.

I can’t find a site for this brand, but you can find it at Sport Chek and Indigo, which are both great Canadian chains. Though Maple claims this is made in Canada, the box says it is only designed in Canada, but made in China. It’s kind of surprising because this is literally one of the easiest things to sew.
I couldn’t find the site because they converged with the brand Halfmoon. As such, they no longer sell this exact product, but do have variations of it.
Inside the pillow is organic Canadian wheat berry and French lavender flowers. The casing is 100% silk, and the inner casing is 100% organic cotton. The lavender gives it a pleasant scent.
Overall Impression
This was a decent box. I appreciate it when there aren’t too many supplements. My favourite products are the chocolate and the candle. I do look forward to trying the dirty chai. I am overrun with eye pillows and facial serums, so I’m less appreciative of them, even though they may be quite nice. Overall, this is probably one of the better Maple boxes that I’ve received.
