Inside the Box

Tony likes these sunflower seeds and says they don’t taste too strongly like ranch. I hate ranch (except in small portions on certain vegetables) so I don’t even want to try them.

BiGS is part of Conagra Brands, and the seeds are roasted in the USA.

I’m not a huge fan of homeopathic medicines. I’ve taken them before and haven’t noticed any difference. I also don’t notice any difference in many conventional medicines, so there’s that. This may or may not work. I don’t have heartburn very often, but I did have a massive bloating problem before I got pregnant. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again, but if it does, I can try these.

The ingredients list is interesting. It has the active ingredients listed and then beside each one is its purpose. I think this is valuable so that people are more informed about what specific things do to their bodies.

There is a disclaimer at the bottom saying that these claims are “based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence. Not FDA evaluated.” Take that as you will.

Boiron was started in 1932 and is headquartered in France.

Sunglasses

Some nice looking sunglasses for Tony. They come in a case and with a cloth! #winning!

This is a 10w wireless charger, probably pretty old considering it has a micro usb cable. It also has no brand name. Cool cool.

This is a body wash that could not really get away with being gender neutral. It smells quite strongly of the stereotypical “man” scent and the bottle claims the fragrance will last a long time. This formula is biodegradable. Tony is quite happy with the scent.

Method was founded in the US by Eric Ryan and Adam Lowry in 2001.

We received this before and I never used it. I gave it to a friend who was suffering from severe muscle pain. She never mentioned whether or not it worked for her. Giving birth did not relieve my aches and pains, so if my physician approves of me taking this while breastfeeding, then I should try it! But what are the chances I will be able to make an appointment for such a silly thing?

Zax’s was founded by a pharmacist in 2007 and is made in Ontario.

What on earth is beer salt? Apparently you just add some to the rim. I don’t drink beer, so I won’t be doing that, but maybe Tony will enjoy it. It is his after all.

Twang has been around since 1986! It’s older than I am!

This is a nicely spicy deodorant that contains plant matter that supports the immune system. This includes things like elderberry, echinacea, and reishi mushroom. I am definitely going to steal this to see if it works for me. It doesn’t contain any baking soda, which is good because both Tony and I are very sensitive to it.

Green Goo was started in 2008 and the products are made in the USA.

Tony doesn’t really have trouble sleeping and there is a long list of warnings. It straight up says don’t use if pregnant or breastfeeding, so even if I wanted to, I couldn’t try this. Perhaps I can give it to a friend who has trouble sleeping.

Now has been family owned since 1968.

Overall Impression

From my perspective, this was just an okay box, but Tony is quite happy with the sunglasses, sunflower seeds, and body wash. This was our final Men’s Lifestyle Box from The Balanced Company. It looks like this box is no longer available as a subscription.
