Inside the Box

Bloodstone

This is a pretty bloodstone with flecks of red throughout. It is supposed to help the immune system, balance emotions, etc. This is good because I’ve felt a sickness coming on for the past couple of weeks that I’ve madly been trying to avoid.

Beltane Essential Oil Blend

This is a rich and earthy blend of frankincense, rosemary, sweet orange, vanilla, and ylang ylang. It also contains another bloodstone inside.

Beltane Bath Salts

It’s nice to see more bath salts as it has been a while. These kind of smell like a funeral parlour, which I think is often due to lilies. In this case, it is not the fault of lilies but rather of roses. The contents are similar to the essential oil blend except that this contains rose and is supposed to contain a rose quartz. I think the stone may have been missed, which has happened on occasion. I don’t really care all that much because I don’t need more stones, but it is possible that it’s buried in the middle.

Beltane Tea

This tea contains black tea, green rooibos, and a variety of lemon flavours. Yuck.

Beltane Incense

This incense blend contains rosemary, honey amber, jasmine, orange peel, and essential oils of vanilla and ylang ylang. There is also a beautiful piece of aventurine nestled on top. The scent is quite lovely and reminds me of good cooking with a touch of sweetness.

This candle smells like baby powder and I am not a fan of that. It says it contains emerald and lily, but I thought emeralds were an expensive precious stone?

This candle’s affirmation is: May this light ignite passion, love, and renewal, blossoming within and around me.

Overall Impression

A nice box to prepare one to celebrate Beltane, which occurred on May 1. It apparently always occurs on May 1!
