Inside the Box
This month’s lesson introduces the wheel of the year and each of the eight sabbats. It concludes with ways to integrate the sabbats into daily practice.
This lesson could also use a revamp in formatting. It is chaos and it hurts my brain to look at it. I like well-formatted writing so that I can glance at it and easily find what I need. This blog is a poor example of that.
This is an imperfectly cut, thinly wooden wheel of the year. It contains the sabbats and respective dates as well as the corresponding signs of the zodiac. In the middle is a pentacle.
I’m not exactly sure what this is for. The contents currently listed for lesson 6 don’t include this item. It has a tiny hole in the middle, so there is a chance it is another incense holder. If it is, it’s a good size. I really like its heft and the inclusion of the moon phases around the pentacle.
I’ve always wanted a cauldron so I am absolutely delighted with this. It feels like it is made of cast iron, so is quite solid and heavy. Very cool.
This item is also not currently listed in lesson #6 on the website.
Overall Impression
This might be my favourite box. I love everything in it and it was well worth the wait. Thanks to Lisa for contacting Spiral Rain on my behalf about the missing box.
