Bump to Mom (Tum to Mom) – Ninth box: Postpartum #4

I’m assuming this is the last box. I went back to the website and it says that subscriptions stop immediately after the fourth trimester. My baby is now 3 months old and therefore out of the fourth trimester, but I’ve been surprised many times already.

Inside the Box

Sleep Mask

This is a nice, silky sleep mask with a darker colour. The darker colours block the sunlight better than lighter colours, which is important when you’re trying to get back to sleep after doing middle-of-the-night feeds in the northern hemisphere in the summer.

We received a pink sleep mask in Preggo Box #3 that had “NAPPING For Two” written across it. I now have 5 sleep masks, 3 from subscription boxes.

Sunshine & Daisies Candle

I would be cautious using a candle with a wee baby. The smoke and scents can irritate their lungs, so I’ve heard.

Tony likes the scent of this, I have no strong feelings toward it either way. It smells kind of like it belongs in a hotel.

Beauugreen Face Masks

Two masks, one hydrating and the other vitalizing, from Beauugreen, a Korean beauty company. I have been using a lot (for me) face masks in the past couple of years. I almost never used them before, but I keep getting more and I hate for things to go to waste. They don’t have any particular appeal to me, but I understand many women enjoy using them.

Microfiber Hair Turban

I didn’t need another hair turban, but I do like the colour of this one and it’s much fluffier than the one I got in whichever box that was. This hair turban also has a pretty clear flower clasp rimmed in gold paint.

I’m surprised they rolled out “Tum to Mom” when they still have all the Bump to Mom product left.

Hooded Towel

So that mom (or whoever has long hair that needs a hair turban to dry it) can match her baby, we have a towel of the same colour.

This towel shed like the dickens upon removing it from the box. It’s pretty cute, but definitely not the softest towel we have. We like to wash our baby’s bum after poops, which is often, so it’s always good to have a clean towel on standby.

As this is my first baby, and he’s still a baby, Mommy doesn’t get breaks, and no one cares about the sign. Also our baby does not sleep on his own. They’re cute, but not really useful for me at the moment. Our baby only naps on top of or immediately next to a parent so far, so it’s pretty obvious when he’s sleeping, or at the very least you’ll get a glare from the parent. It would be more useful if there was a sign for the dogs as they love to bark when baby is asleep, but the dogs can’t read sadly. In any case, the door tags are cute and probably quite good for households with multiple people and babies that sleep in their own room.

Did you know it is recommended that babies sleep in their parents’ room until 6 months?

Overall Impression

I like the colour of the hair turban and the towel, although the towel would be better if it was of higher quality. At least it’s 100% cotton and not a synthetic material. The door hanger is cute, but not very useful to me. The candle I could do without, especially since we have so many, but Tony likes the scent. The face masks are an understandable addition. Overall it’s a decent box.
