Lukamoo Cat Litter Mats Review

Lukamoo Cat Litter Mats

I usually avoid Amazon these days. Though convenient, it’s become an absolute playground for scammers. We were given an Amazon gift card recently, so I was required to spend it. The last litter mat we had was from the dollar store, never really functioned well, and was totally destroyed months ago. I had casually been looking for a new one, but it was surprisingly difficult. Amazon to the rescue.

Cost: $27.99 (small mat) $28.99 (large mat)

My cost: Same

Highlights:

  • Unique designs
  • Designed in Toronto

Manufactured in: China

Company Base: Toronto, ON

Established in: April 2022

Litter Mat #1 – $27.99

Well done on the packaging. It’s quite cute, but the wonderful sticker covers some of the text.

This is a great little mat. I wasn’t going to put this one in the guest bathroom, but the other one is too big, so in it went. Last night a guest had a great chuckle when he saw it for the first time.

Clean My Poop!

As you can see, the poop really does need to be cleaned… along with everything else in the bathroom.

This mat does a decent job of catching litter, but it could stand to be a bit bigger for our messy cats.

Litter Mat #2 – $28.99

The second mat must be newer as the packaging is better than the first. The text isn’t blocked by anything, and the front has an amusing statement. This package also has bubbles for added protection.

I chose this cat because I thought it was the best shape, while being amusing and matching one of our cats.

This litter mat is huge and does a good job at catching the litter despite its shape. It looks like some of the ink transferred, which is visible on the white parts of the cat.

Overall Impression

I actually really like these litter mats. I had never come across such unique designs before. They are not perfect, but for me they were worth the investment. The one drawback was that they stank so bad coming out of the packaging. I had to air them outside for three days because it was so foul. I haven’t had any smelly problems since then. They say that all their materials are “environment-friendly, non-toxic, and BPA-free”. They also aren’t cut perfectly, but do cat litter mats need to be? I think not.

The Goods:

  • Fun and unique designs
  • Designed in Canada
  • “Non-toxic”
  • BPA-free
  • “environment-friendly”

The Not-So-Goods:

  • Made in China
  • Smell bad upon opening
  • Some small manufacturing irregularities.

Overall I would definitely recommend these mats! Free shipping over $50 on their website, or order from Amazon.
