Loulou Lollipop Sippy Cup (llama)
When I bought the silicone plate and bowl, I also bought this cute sippy cup with straw. I had heard it is better to let a child learn to drink from an open cup or straw, so I thought this was a good buy.

I really like llamas and I really like cute things, so I thought this was going to be a great buy. Unfortunately the design isn’t great and much like the silicone bowl and plate, this retains the taste and smell of soap.

Overall Impression
The hole where the straw goes is not the same shape as the straw, so this thing isn’t even close to being spill proof. To make matters worse, the straw comes out if it gets turned upside down. You can kind of stick the llama right under the lid to make it spill a little less, but it’s still not great. As a sippy cup, it also isn’t great with the ridge being so large where the opening is. We ended up using it mostly as an open cup or with the straw. There was a lot of spilled water when using this cup. It’s also not a great shape for a baby to be able to hold at all.
The Goods:
- Canadian company
- Non-toxic
- Dishwasher safe
- Cute designs
- Basically unbreakable
The Not-So-Goods:
- Silicone retains flavour
- this includes soap!
- Not a very functional design
- Expensive
- Dirt, dust, pet hair, etc. stick really well to silicone
I definitely would not buy this again. Between the design and the fact that it constantly smells/tastes like soap, I am very much put off.
