This site started off as a travel blog, which I abandoned fairly quickly as it wasn’t my jam. About a decade later I went through a crisis of shopping therapy by subscribing to a pile of Canadian subscription boxes. I had been doing mystery shopping for a couple of years and I enjoyed trying new products and reviewing them for that company. I thought I’d support my country, try some new products, and let other people know my thoughts about them.
It’s hard to believe I’m still doing this, but here I am, still trucking along. It’s kind of funny with all the drama in this first part of 2025 how so many Canadians are trying to support Canadian products again. I absolutely celebrate that, but I also roll my eyes at the fact that it wasn’t important to them before. My blog is here to bring awareness of Canadian options, which often get drowned out in Google searches. My aim is to make the posts cleaner and more relevant, but the truth is the whole site needs an overhaul and it’s not my priority right now.
