Inside the Box
I actually liked this a lot better than the strawberry one. I didn’t enjoy it enough to purchase another one, but it’s well worth a try.
Gnusante is from Vancouver, BC and states this: “We use simple, healthy, non-GMO ingredients, sourced as locally as possible, and formulate them to deliver specific nutritional benefits. All of our business choices are centered around what’s best for the consumer and the environment.”
I don’t usually like sour cream & onion chips, but these were addictive. I had to hide the bag on myself.
Covered Bridge is a 4th generation family business from Hartland, New Brunswick.

This tea is really great. It tastes good both with and without milk. I ended up gifting my last box to a friend because she enjoyed it so much. I would definitely purchase again.
Teeccino was started in the USA in 1993 due to a dream.
These aren’t too bad. As someone who doesn’t eat a lot of candy, the more I eat them, the better they get. You can kind of taste the rice protein and/or wheat, but you get used to it the more you eat. I would recommend giving these a try for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Sweet Haven candies are made in Europe without artificial colours or flavours. Their palm fat comes from sustainable cultivation.
This can is very cool; the top is embossed with branches. Apparently this is supposed to support skin health and collagen production, and the flavour combination is fascinating. I do love me some herbs in my sweet drinks.
This is another product from GnuSante, which is a company from Burnaby, BC.
These aren’t just almonds, they are sprouted almonds. Two different savoury flavours that I’m sure Tony will be thrilled to try. I’m just not that nuts about nuts.
Daily Crunch was launched in March 2020 in Tennessee.
I had this granola last year, and except for the burnt bits on the bottom, it was a delicious granola.
La Fourmi was started in Montreal in 2002.
This is considered a breakfast bar. I have never thought about eating a bar for breakfast, but I guess I can try it. I generally prefer a savoury breakfast.
Kind states this: “We believe if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it shouldn’t go into your body. Actually, it shouldn’t even go into your pantry. KIND® products are made from nutritionally-dense ingredients like whole nuts, fruits and whole grains – no secret ingredients and no artificial flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.”
Kind is an American company.
I haven’t tried the package we got in the pantry box yet, but I sure hope it’s good.
Floating Leaf is from Sunnyside, Manitoba, and manufactures their products in Canada.
This isn’t too bad. I put it on the pancakes I made from the HoldtheCarbs pancake and waffle mix that I got in the August 2023 Pantry Box.
One massive caveat to this spread is that it must be consumed within 30 days of opening. I don’t eat a lot of jam, and it would usually take me around a year to finish a jar that big. I guess that’s the price one pays to have 33% less sugar than a jam.
Crofter’s is from Ontario.
This bar is vegan, high in fibre and keto certified.
Hungry Buddha is from Quebec.
Tony doesn’t like teriyaki for whatever reason, but maybe these will change his mind.
GimMe grow their seaweed off the coast of South Korea in protected waters that are famous for their nutrients. Annie and Steve, the founders, were the first to have a USDA certified organic, non-GMO project verified seaweed snack.
I was just thinking how these would be a happy addition to the upcoming Christmas season. Alas they expire on November 15.
I know marshmallows are supposed to be sweet, but they taste just a little too sweet. You can taste the maple flavour, but despite it containing maple syrup, it tastes a bit off. I literally just ate maple syrup so the flavour is fresh in my mind. It could be because they also added maple flavour on top of the maple syrup, or possibly because they added vanilla flavour as well.
Anyway, they’re not the worst thing. I wouldn’t purchase a bag myself, but they’re a fine marshmallow.
Dandies is part of Chicago Vegan Foods.

We received two more sample flavours, the same as before: vanilla & dark chocolate from the extra energy line. They contain 11 energy-enhancing super foods.
Genuine Health is a Canadian company. I suggest reading their About Us page for more information.
Overall Impression
14 items for our last food box. I think it was a fine box, but I’m happy to not be getting any more. Most of the food expires so quickly and ends up going to waste. It does not end up being a good purchasing decision for me. Maybe it would be better to have an online catalogue of interesting products and you can make your own box. Like an online specialty grocery store, but not as extensive.
