Inside the Box

Interesting choice for font. I’m beginning to understand why some books specifically state which font they used (and sometimes the history of it!), as it really is an important thing. God help anyone who decides to publish something in Comic Sans.

This book is actually a workbook and I think this was the bonus item that I pay for every month as it’s not on the list. I read most of the introduction to try to get a sense of what it is about, but it’s a lot of talking about herself and not what the purpose of the book is. Even under “The Concept of Pivot” is just another blurb about her life. I’m going to guess that the book is aimed at trying to shift your perspective when changes occur so that you can get through and out of them positively. This book surprisingly retails for $26.95. There is also another book called Pivot, which seems to be about the exact same thing. Guess who came first.

Buoy contains 87 ionic trace minerals, electrolytes, antioxidants, and vitamins that you can easily add to any drink. Their line contains three types of drops: hydration, energy, and immunity. I really could have used the immunity ones because I’ve been out with the flu for the past week. Once opened, these need to be used within 2 months and each bottle contains 40 servings. They are made in the USA and seem to be passionate about sustainability and helping people with chronic illnesses. I’ll probably use these sooner rather than later as they expire in April of 2023, but they probably would have been more useful when it was hot out. Loti lists these at $16 per bottle. On their site you have to buy them in sets of 3 for $39 USD. They’re expensive any way you slice it.

Dr. Botanicals Rescue Butter

This butter apparently has many uses. It can be used as a face cream, a spot moisturizer, or even as a cleanser. I’m not a huge fan of the scent, and now that I’ve used the strawberry soap from the Sweet Reads “Ghost” box, I think it’s a general thing with Dr. Botanicals. I just don’t like the types of scents they use. I’ve used this butter on my hands, and though it made my palms very sweaty, the back of my hand is nicely moisturized. I think this might be better saved for winter when my palms need some help too. I don’t think I would bother with it as a cleanser. Loti lists this at $19, which I think is insane, but everything is getting to be so expensive these days.

The Bath Bomb Company Fizzy Cubes

The website listed on the product is not currently a functioning website. This is Canadian-made product and this particular scent is not currently listed on their website, so I’m not sure if it’s a Loti exclusive. I don’t like this scent, but maybe it’ll be better in water. I know that when I finally used the Bathorium bath salts from The Maple Bundles, the smell turned absolutely heavenly (and they make your skin feel so nice!). Perhaps that’ll be the same for these. Loti values them at $9 each, but online you can only buy them in packs of 6 for $24. You do the math.

KZ Clean Eating Crispbread

I don’t know how I feel about this crispbread. It tastes okay, but I would prefer it with some sort of cheese I think. Though it usually retails for $12.99, this particular version is on sale for $5.99 at the time of writing. I couldn’t tell you if that is in USD or CAD though. Loti lists it as $13, so I’m going to assume it’s in CAD.

Katrin Zytomierska is apparently a famous Swedish blogger, TV personality, and businesswoman (clearly) of Polish decent.

Grace & Stella Face Tool

I’m not going to lie, I’m terrified to even try this (but I did). It says to avoid eye area, but literally says “eyebrow razor” on the packaging, so that confuses me. What’s wrong with peach fuzz anyway? I read that Marilyn Monroe refused to get rid of her fuzz because it made her skin glow in pictures. It’s definitely not something I noticed on other people. Is everyone else getting rid of theirs? I guess this product is just not for me.

This came with a QR code for a free gift. No mention what the gift is, and then it sends you to their Messenger and you have to actually talk to them? No thanks.

Loti values these at $21, but they’ve succumbed to inflation, as they’re currently listed at $22 online.

Roobie Tote

This bag just makes me face-palm. Do people actually spend $30USD on this? You can’t even tote that much in it because it’s so small. How is this any better than the grocery bag someone bought for $2, which is bigger? I know it’s just me, but I would be embarrassed to carry this around. Self-care is definitely important, but do I want to advertise that? It’s just not… me. I’m realizing this box in general really isn’t for me. Oops!

At least they valued their workbook at only $5 this time.

Overall Impression

This is another disappointment for me. I shouldn’t have gone for the discounts and the great reviews. Most of these products are not Canadian, and most of them I have little or no interest in. Hopefully I have some happy friends who will benefit from a lot of things I don’t want. If you’re my friend and you see something on here that you like, hit me up!

To Loti’s credit, they do a good job of referencing the brands of the products included as well as adding a brief description and instructions.

  1. I really hate that q it’s going to appear that I’m being a weirdo because I think that it should be common knowledge within the health and wellness community that any health and wellness box obviously start with the benefits of the liquids in the human female box and the multifaceted positive effects it has both people across the range of their entire day
